A truly cross-genre ensemble, it is made up of the country’s best voices from the opera, rock, musical theatre and pop worlds.
The choir is unique in that its members are individually selected for each engagement according to its specific brief.

Philharmonia Australia has sourced singers for a number of varied contexts over the last decade which have included performances with UK act Active Child for The Melbourne Festival, Pete Tong and The Heritage Orchestra in Sydney and Melbourne and a national tour with Belgian crooner Helmut Lotti.
Launched in 2017, Chorus Australis burst on to the scene performing as a 40 piece all male contingent with none other than pop sensation Adele.
The choir performed in front of record breaking crowds of up to 95,000 in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Melbourne and has recently performed with Hans Zimmer in each city of his “Revealed” tour and for Planet Earth 2 Live in Melbourne.
Chorus Australis is the ideal choice for a number of contexts from concert tours to private functions and corporate events to recording sessions and TV appearances.
