XANI studied improvisation at the Victorian College of the Arts and went on to further hone her craft at Canada’s prestigious Banff Centre. She has an affinity for music of many different genres and brings a electric energy to the stage.
XANI has a delightful, sunny personality and is comfortable slotting into just about any context. She plays both acoustic and electric violin with a clean, pure sound and immaculate intonation.
Also a song-writer and singer, XANI combines the violin with vocals and looping technology to create a unique, rich, layered sound.
She adds drums to this combination when performing with her hugely popular two-piece band THE TWOKS.
THE TWOKS are a unique duo combining Violin with looping technology and electronic effects, drums and vocals.
Their electro-pop sound is refreshingly different and their original tunes are infectiously catchy.
