SOLO VIOLA/PRINCIPAL VIOLA/VIOLIN (Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide).
As founder and director of STRING SOURCE/PHILHARMONIA AUSTRALIA, LEAH performs on as many of the engagements she coordinates as is practically possible.
Her orchestral career has seen her perform regularly with ensembles which include the Sydney, Queensland, Adelaide and Munich Symphony Orchestras, the Australian Opera and Ballet Orchestra, the Colorado Festival Orchestra and the Wiener Konzert Verien and as soloist with the Australian Ballet’s “Bodytorque” series.
An active chamber musician, LEAH was a founding member of the Elandra String Quartet which performed at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, toured outback Australia and featured in concerts in Canada and the United States. In 2011 she founded the ENSEMBLE URBANE chamber music series in Melbourne.
She also has a great deal of experience in musical theatre and a wealth of varied non-classical collaborations and has performed at private functions for the Duchess of Kent and the crown Prince and Princess of Denmark.
LEAH performs as part of PHILHARMONIA AUSTRALIA’s chamber group ENSEMBLE URBANE and STRING SOURCE’s all female team The STRING SIRENS and has performed in virtually all of STRING SOURCE/PHILHARMONIA AUSTRALIA’s larger commercial projects.
LEAH can be heard on The STRING SIRENS Christmas album and plays Viola on all of STRING SOURCE’s sound demos.
