July 2012, Melbourne – ENSEMBLE URBANE 2012 Concerts Announced

ENSEMBLE URBANE – Taking classical music out of the concert hall.

The ENSEMBLE URBANE 2012 series combines music with other mediums such as visual art, photography, song, spoken word and dance and will be performed in bars and galleries in and around the Melbourne CBD.

In each of our 2012 concerts we’ve popped something in the programme that you might not necessarily expect to hear in a classical chamber music concert.

Our hope for these concerts is that at least one person comes along and experiences something they never knew they’d love.

SAMANTHA Violin/Violin + DJ

VIOLIN + DJ (Mebourne).

It’s impossible not to be drawn in by SAMANTHA’s effervescent personality and bright, warm, unwavering smile. In her element on stage, her deep love for the violin and for music of all genres is immediately apparent.

SAMANTHA has the ideal contemporary stylings to team perfectly with a DJ. She draws on her classical training to colour the music with the rich, romantic sounds of the violin.

With a look that turns heads, SAMANTHA has performed on various TV shows including an appearance with BLISS N ESO at the 2013 ARIAs as part of STRING SOURCE’s all female team of string players The STRING SIRENS.

Enthusiastic, easy-going and enigmatic, SAMANTHA + DJ is the perfect fresh addition to a slick, modern function.
